The Car Fat-Bloke MarathonDo you not feel there is too much pressure on us all to conform to the "perfect" physique? Well, we at Disco NT certain have picked up on the media subversion associated with body image. While "Fat is The New Black" it is not the new Sex or the new Power-Chief-Execute. The Fat-Bloke may be loved for his cute but he is not loved for his tummy and why? Who can say, maybe there is a need to seek the spin and publicise the positive aspects of fat. Disco NT are proud to announce the first international all comers (provided the entry requirements are met) Car Fat-Bloke Marathon (CFBM). The basic idea is the same as a standard marathon, a 26 mile race where the speed very really gets over walking/running speed. The key difference with the CFBM is the use of; 1) Cars - these must be big cars, nothing under 2.5l engine capacity. The "race" takes place over a 26 mile stretch of city roadway. The competitors (this is a bit of a misnomer as there is no competition and so no winner, who needs all that competitive stuff anyway?) drive their cars at less than 26 miles per hour and are not allowed to stop, not ever for a burger (these will be provided at the finish).
